We are so impressed with the students who came to the audition workshop and we hope they enjoyed their time. It was so exciting to see so many new and returning faces. We had over 70 students interested in being a part of the cast and crew of Beauty and the Beast, JR.
Unfortunately, the music director had to step away from the production. We have been actively and extensively looking for a replacement without success. Due to the extensive amount of time needed to prepare a production and the short time frame, we have made the very difficult decision to cancel this year’s musical. This is a heartbreaking decision, especially after being able to bring the musical back last year for the first time since 2019.
The school musical is run completely through our booster organization and parent volunteers. Our production team of parent volunteers has already spent countless hours planning this experience for your students. Plans had already begun on rehearsals, choreography, business sponsorships, costumes, sets, publicity, and more. We are committed to providing an excellent opportunity for your students to become a part of a musical production, but we are unable to continue without a director.
We thank all the parent volunteers, student volunteers, teachers and staff for their efforts and support to this point. We hope to continue next year.
